LongView® 1000 extenders let you place a keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers, microphone and serial port up to 1,000 feet away from your computer or Avocent KVM switch.
This greater distance allows you to separate your users from their computer/target devices. With devices consolidated and managed from a central location, you solve some common challenges such as protecting computers from hazardous work environments and protecting computers from accidental damage or theft.
The LongView 1000 extender is a point-to-point KVM, audio and serial device extender for use for up to 1,000 feet. Its transmitter and receiver are designed with an interconnecting UTP cable and easily connect to PS/2 or USB computers. Additionally, the system has a unique auto-tuning feature that automatically compensates for both video skew and signal degradation over standard UTP cable, without compromising the user experience. The simple transmitter and receiver design assures ease of installation and simple deployment.
